# With Compliments

> A playful code-of-honour game for adults about trivial household pinches: list up to six small things you took, answer four quick questions about each, and see each one judged against a gentleman thief's three-article code - gentleman thief, charming rogue or return it - with a short, polite calling card to leave for whoever the thing belonged to.

## What it does

- You list small pinches (the last biscuit, a borrowed phone charger, a colleague's stapler) with an optional line on what happened.
- For each pinch you answer four questions: whose it was (a housemate, a colleague, a family member, a friend, or everyone), how much they would miss it (Barely, A little, A lot), how you will make it good (Replace it, Give it back, Make it up another way, Nothing yet), and whether it was the last one.
- Free, in the browser: honour points (0-5) against three articles - take only a trifle, make it good, never take the last one - a verdict with fixed rules (off-limits things such as money, valuables, documents, medicine or anything from a shop or a stranger, or a thing missed a lot with nothing planned, or honour 0-1: return it; honour 4-5: gentleman thief; otherwise charming rogue), the weakest article, the page's pick of the mend, the finest pinch, an SVG/PNG silver tray of calling cards, and Markdown, CSV and JSON downloads.
- Metered (one run on gpt-terra): a calling card per pinch in the first person, a reason for each verdict from your own answers, and the mend in one plain step. The run never changes the page's verdicts, and the page adds your chosen signature.

## Contract

POST https://api.skillsafe.ai/v1/app-api/run with string fields: task = "leave-cards", pinches (one numbered line per pinch with its four answers), facts (the page's honour points, verdicts, weakest articles, card openings, mends, counts and the finest pinch). The reply is one JSON object: {task, headline, pinches: [{name, verdict, card, why, mend}], closing}.
